Major Programs and Initiatives

Connected eBooks

Connected Casebooks are now called Connected eBooks. Connected eBooks are enhanced digital textbooks and study aids that come with a suite of online content and learning tools designed to maximize student success. Connected eBooks feature a full ebook version of the textbook; outlining and case briefing tools to enhance student learning and save time; a topical news feed to connect what students are learning to their everyday lives; and for select titles, a Study Center complete with practice questions from leading study aids like the Examples & Explanations and Glannon Guides.

Designed in collaboration with hundreds of faculty and students, the Connected eBook is a significant leap forward in the legal education learning tools available to students.

Students today, especially first-year law students, need many avenues of engagement with the subject matter to really understand the material and how to apply it. I believe that the CasebookConnect features such as the short explanatory videos, textual explanations, and multiple choice and other practice questions greatly assisted my Contracts students in developing a mastery of the subject.
—Grace M. Giesel, Bernard Flexner Professor and Distinguished Teaching Professor, University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law

Leading Edge

Leading Edge is thinking differently about Legal Education, and putting those thoughts into actionable strategies. Beginning in early 2014, Wolters Kluwer Legal Education launched a new focus on helping innovators in legal education share their perspectives on the future of law school teaching and curriculum with a broad audience drawn from across the community. At the core of the program is the Leading Edge Conference, an annual gathering of legal education thought leaders looking to pool ideas and identify promising directions of exploration. Visit the Leading Edge page to view videos and a list of sessions from each conference.
